EGFR x HER3 ADC Supports 2.5 mg/kg Dose for Phase III Lung Cancer Trial

A phase II study of an investigational antibody‑drug conjugate (ADC) that targets both EGFR and HER3 showed encouraging results in patients with previously treated, EGFR‑mutated non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The ADC demonstrated clinically meaningful efficacy while maintaining a tolerable safety profile across the cohort, according to the study’s interim analysis.

Based on these findings, the 2.5 mg/kg dose was selected for the global Phase III IZABRIGHT‑Lung01 registrational trial. The Phase III study will evaluate the ADC’s effectiveness and safety in a larger, more diverse patient population, aiming to confirm the therapeutic benefit observed in the earlier phase and to support regulatory approval.

The company plans to initiate enrollment in the IZABRIGHT‑Lung01 trial later this year, with the goal of providing a new treatment option for patients with EGFR‑mutated NSCLC who have progressed after standard therapies.
