Deluzio hints at possible 2028 primary challenge to Fetterman

Pennsylvania U.S. Representative Chris Deluzio, a Democrat from the 12th congressional district, told reporters on Sunday that he is weighing the possibility of challenging Senator John Fetterman in the 2028 Democratic primary. “I might, I haven’t decided that,” Deluzio said, adding that he is currently focused on helping Democrats flip congressional seats in the state to give Governor Josh Shapiro a governing majority.

Deluzio, who has served in Congress since 2019, emphasized that his decision on a primary bid will depend on the political climate and the needs of the party.
