Canon unveils EOS R8 Mark II, its lightest full‑frame camera with in‑body stabilization

Canon has unveiled the second‑generation EOS R8, a full‑frame mirrorless camera that adds in‑body image stabilization (IBIS) and a retro‑inspired redesign to the lineup. The original EOS R8, introduced in 2023, was positioned as a smaller, more affordable alternative to the Canon R6 Mark II, targeting photographers who wanted a larger sensor without the higher price tag.
