Canada pledges air defense and drone support for Ukraine during Zelensky visit

Canada announced Thursday that it will expand military assistance to Ukraine by strengthening the country’s air‑defence capabilities and replenishing its drone inventory. The commitment was made during a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney affirmed that “Canada will always be with you.” The pledge includes additional funding, equipment and logistical support aimed at countering the ongoing aerial threats faced by Kyiv’s forces.
