Cairo Diplomacy Highlights Horn of Africa's Growing Importance

Diplomatic talks held in Cairo this week highlighted the Horn of Africa’s rising strategic significance to the Middle East and beyond. Egyptian officials met with representatives from Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Sudan to discuss a range of issues from security cooperation and counter‑terrorism to the facilitation of trade routes that link the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.
