Azerbaijan Simplifies Visa Process for Baku F1 Fans

Baku has introduced a streamlined visa entry process for international visitors heading to the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The new arrangement allows eligible travelers to obtain a visa on arrival at the country’s international airports, simplifying travel logistics for the event.

The simplified procedure will be in effect from 25 August to 30 September, covering the period of the Grand Prix weekend and the surrounding days. Eligible passengers—typically those arriving from countries that have reciprocal agreements with Azerbaijan—can collect their visas upon landing without pre‑application, reducing the need for advance paperwork and expediting entry.

This measure is intended to encourage greater international attendance at the race and to showcase Azerbaijan’s hospitality. By easing visa formalities, the government aims to support the event’s global profile and provide a smoother experience for fans and teams alike.
