Aqara unveils new Zigbee and Thread smart lighting lineup at IFA
Aqara, the Chinese smart‑home maker that debuted a series of first‑generation devices at CES, has returned to the IFA trade show with an expanded portfolio of connected lighting. The new lineup, announced at the Berlin exhibition, includes products that operate on both Zigbee and Thread protocols, positioning the brand to compete in the increasingly interoperable ecosystem of home automation.
Among the highlights is the Floor Lamp T1, a 4.6‑foot‑tall LED‑equipped pole that replaces the conventional lamp silhouette with a minimalist base and vertical light column. The fixture delivers RGBIC illumination across 18 individually addressable zones, projecting dynamic color washes onto surrounding walls in a manner similar to Govee’s competing floor lamp. Aqara also unveiled permanent outdoor smart lights designed for exterior use, extending the company’s reach beyond interior ambience. By offering dual‑protocol compatibility and a broader range of indoor and outdoor solutions, Aqara aims to solidify its presence in the global smart‑lighting market.
