Apple Launches macOS 27 Golden Gate with Siri AI and Performance Boosts

Apple launched macOS 27 “Golden Gate” on Monday, adding a host of new features and performance tweaks. The update introduces a revamped Siri AI assistant, a new Liquid Glass interface, and a suite of optimizations that make the system feel faster and more responsive. The release is available only for Macs equipped with Apple Silicon, as Apple has ended major updates for Intel‑based machines with macOS Tahoe last year.

Siri AI is the headline feature of Golden Gate, allowing users to ask questions, search personal data such as photos and emails, and trigger actions in apps like Messages and Reminders. A dedicated Siri app now stores chat history for easier reference, and the assistant can handle a broader range of requests than its predecessor.
