Amazon launches Alexa+ with Hindi support in India
Amazon has announced that it will allow all customers to try its new Alexa+ assistant during an early‑access period. The move expands the service beyond the limited beta that has been available to a small group of users, giving a broader audience the chance to experience the upgraded voice‑assistant features before the full launch.
Alexa+ builds on the existing Alexa platform by adding enhanced natural‑language understanding, faster response times, and new skills that integrate more deeply with Amazon’s ecosystem, including Prime Video, Amazon Music, and smart‑home devices. The early‑access program is open to all Amazon customers worldwide and will run for the next six weeks, after which the service will roll out to the general public. Users can opt in through the Alexa app or the Amazon website, and Amazon has stated that the early‑access period will be used to gather feedback and refine the assistant’s performance.
The company says the expanded early‑access phase is part of its strategy to ensure a smooth transition to the full Alexa+ launch. By allowing a larger user base to test the new capabilities, Amazon hopes to identify and resolve any issues before the official release, positioning Alexa+ as a more robust and feature‑rich voice‑assistant for its customers.
