Adolescent immunization rates for diphtheria toxoid and acellular pertussis (Tdap) and quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate (MenACWY) vaccines held steady at roughly 90 % in 2025, according to a report released in the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. The data, derived from national vaccination surveys, show that coverage for these two recommended adolescent vaccines has not declined despite ongoing challenges in health care access and the lingering effects of the COVID‑19 pandemic.

In contrast, human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates did not rise for the fourth consecutive year, indicating a persistent gap in uptake for a vaccine linked to the prevention of several cancers. The report highlights that while overall adolescent immunization levels remain high for Tdap and MenACWY, the stagnation of HPV coverage underscores the need for renewed public‑health initiatives to improve education, accessibility, and provider recommendation for this vaccine.
