300 Gaza patients referred abroad die as evacuation delays continue

Gaza’s Hamas‑run health ministry reported that an estimated 300 Palestinians who had been referred for medical treatment abroad have died since the ceasefire took effect. The figure, released in a statement on Monday, reflects the cumulative toll on patients who were unable to reach foreign hospitals after being cleared for evacuation following the recent hostilities.

The ministry said the deaths occurred despite ongoing efforts by humanitarian agencies and neighboring states to facilitate medical transfers. It added that the ceasefire, which began on May 20, has not fully restored the corridors needed for safe passage, leaving many critically ill individuals without the specialized care available outside the enclave.
