150 Corgis Compete in Vilnius Agility and Costume Contest

A gathering of roughly 150 corgis from nine countries took place in Vilnius this week for a day‑long competition featuring races, agility courses and costume contests. The event, held at the city’s main sports complex, attracted owners and fans from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Latvia and Estonia.

Participants competed in a series of timed sprints and obstacle courses designed to test speed, coordination and obedience. The highlight was the costume contest, where dogs were judged on creativity and presentation. The United States‑owned corgi “GG” emerged as the overall champion, securing the 2026 title after winning the sprint and placing first in the agility round.

The event underscored the growing popularity of corgi‑centric competitions in Europe and highlighted Vilnius as a hub for canine sporting events. Organizers plan to return next year, hoping to expand the field and introduce additional categories for participants.
