14 Israeli soldiers sentenced to military prison for unauthorized walkout

Four Israeli soldiers were sentenced to military prison after leading an unauthorised walkout from the Sde Teiman base, the Israel Defense Forces announced on Tuesday. The court‑martial convicted 14 servicemen for desertion and insubordination, imposing prison terms ranging from three to twelve months. The walkout, which took place in early March, involved a coordinated departure of the soldiers from the training facility in the Negev desert, prompting a swift security response and the subsequent legal proceedings.
